As a Progression Job Coach within our Employment, Skills and Enterprise team, you will support participants on the Restart Scheme to overcome barriers to employment, build self-confidence, and transition smoothly into sustainable work.
Working on a dedicated caseload, you will provide tailored one-to-one coaching, design actionable development plans, and connect participants with vital job opportunities that strengthen trust and opportunity within local communities.
Caseload Management: Manage a proactive caseload of participants, guiding them seamlessly through their full Restart journey from initial engagement to sustained employment.
Coaching & Assessments: Deliver structured one-to-one coaching, holistic needs assessments, and personalized action plans to address barriers to work.
Employability Support: Provide practical guidance on CV writing, job applications, interview techniques, and effective job search strategies.
Employer Collaboration: Build strong networks with local employers and internal teams to identify open vacancies and match participants to suitable roles.
Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate, high-quality records and ensure total compliance with contract guidelines and service level standards.

Coaching Experience: Demonstrable background in coaching, mentoring, or supporting individuals into employment, training, or education.

Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing abilities.
Performance Mindset: Experience working effectively within a target-driven or performance-focused environment.
Organizational Skills: Excellent time-management abilities with confidence using digital systems to maintain precise records.
Vetting Requirement: Ability to successfully undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
Financial Package: Competitive starting salary of £30,000 per annum.
