Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient permanent Family Safeguarding Recovery Coordinator to join their team in Preston.
In this vital part-time role, you will work closely with local Children’s Services Teams and CGL core members to engage service users and their families. By delivering specialist and generic interventions through 1-1 sessions or groups, conducting home visits, parenting needs assessments, and preparing reports for child protection conferences, you will empower families to build life skills, reduce risks, and achieve positive outcomes.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner closely with local Children’s Services Teams to support families, escalate issues quickly, and ensure coordinated care.
Family Interventions & Life Skills: Deliver 1-1 or group interventions to help families develop life skills (e.g., budgeting, cookery, parenting, literacy/numeracy, and education/employment access).
Assessments & Safeguarding: Conduct home visits, drug testing, and Parenting Needs Assessments. Prepare written reports for, and attend, Child Protection, Core Group, and Child in Need meetings.
Specialist Knowledge: Apply strong working knowledge regarding the impact of hidden harm, honor-based violence, child sexual exploitation, and FGM with cultural sensitivity.
Experience & Background: Experience working with families displaying challenging behavior in fields such as social work, youth offending, substance misuse, probation, health, education, or community work.
Safeguarding Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of current legislation surrounding young people, families, and child protection practice.
Core Competencies: Ability to manage challenging behavior calmly and professionally, handle complex and diverse cultural family issues with sensitivity, and communicate effectively.
Requirements: Resilient, empathetic team player. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
