We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit a dedicated and hands-on Farm Manager for their modern laying farm at Swale Farm in North Yorkshire. Key Responsibilities
Livestock Welfare & Biosecurity: Maintain optimal environmental conditions and ensure the highest standards of animal welfare, husbandry, and strict site biosecurity.
Production & Site Oversight: Oversee daily egg production and grading, manage site operations, and ensure compliance with all legislative and assurance scheme standards.
Team Leadership & Safety: Supervise on-site staff and third-party contractors while maintaining rigorous Health & Safety compliance.
Administration & Cost Control: Keep accurate records (including medication, alarms, production, and deliveries) and deliver effective on-site cost management.

What We Are Looking For
Transport & Location: Own transport is essential, as travel to other farm sites may occasionally be required.
Experience & Qualifications: Previous livestock experience (poultry background preferred, though strong stockmanship is key). An NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Poultry Production or Agriculture is desirable, but full training will be provided.
Skills & Attitude: Strong communication skills, self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and basic IT proficiency.
Important Requirement: Due to strict Biosecurity and Bird Welfare regulations, applicants must not own any avian pets, poultry, or porcine animals.
