At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a permanent Registered Nurse (RGN) on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the clinical care team at St Thomas Care Home in Basingstoke.
In this essential nursing position, you will oversee the holistic care—physical, psychological, and social—of residents during day shifts. Exercising your clinical judgment to make sound care decisions, your responsibilities will range from administering medicines safely and conducting risk assessments to updating tailored care plans and leading shift care staff with professional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Holistic Clinical Nursing: Deliver person-centered care that addresses the physical, mental, and emotional health requirements of residents.
Medication & Governance: Administer medication safely and manage clinical stock in compliance with Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines and NMC standards.
Care Planning & Compliance: Formulate accurate care plans, complete thorough clinical risk assessments, and uphold regulatory compliance with DoLS/MCA frameworks and CQC standards.
Shift Leadership: Supervise and mentor care assistants on duty, serving as the lead clinical professional during your shift.
Requirements & Qualifications
Professional Registration: Active, unencumbered NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
Clinical Expertise: Up-to-date clinical practice skills, medication management experience, and proven care planning capabilities.
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of statutory and regulatory frameworks, including DoLS/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
