We are proud to partner with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a skilled Engineering Technician – Mechanical for the Engineering department at The Hampshire Clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the prompt completion of all work orders for planned preventative maintenance, reactive responses, specialist sub-contract work, and remedial tasks.

• Provide routine and specialized engineering maintenance and breakdown support across the hospital site.

• Deliver competent technical, health, safety, and environmental support while acting as an exemplar of company policies and procedures.

• Provide training, mentoring, and hands-on assistance to site-based technicians or engineering assistants, helping to build a strong team ethos and "can-do" culture.

• Offer expert engineering support and advice to local hospital managers as required.

• Maintain compliance with all mandatory training and health and safety standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Certifications: Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at the appropriate qualification level.

• Qualifications: City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.

• Apprenticeship: Time-served apprenticeship in a mechanically or electrically biased discipline.

• Specialist Requirements: Willingness to act as Authorised Person (AP) and Responsible Person (RP) for Medical Gases (Medgas) as required.

• Knowledge & Skills: Comprehensive understanding of health and safety guidelines, statutes, ACOPs, and L8 Legionella ACOP within hospital buildings; sound fault-finding techniques and the ability to read engineering drawings.
