Salary: £28,557.79 - £32,802.41 Per Annum (CGL points 23 to 28)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Children and Families Worker to join their dynamic team in Nottinghamshire.
In this rewarding role, you will support children and young people under the age of 18 who have been affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol use. Working in a confidential, young person-centred space, you will deliver 1-1 interventions and educational activities—such as games, arts, crafts, and emotional wellbeing resources—empowering young people to explore difficult situations, build resilience, and lead safe, happy, and healthy lives.
Holistic & 1-1 Support: Deliver 1-1 sessions, group work, and whole-family interventions to children and young people affected by familial substance use.
Whole Family Approach: Collaborate proactively with adult services to implement safety planning, safeguarding measures, and Think Family approaches across the family unit.
Safeguarding & Harm Reduction: Identify and respond effectively to potential safeguarding concerns while helping to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm.
Community Delivery: Work flexibly across countywide sites and community delivery hubs, maintaining accurate records and timely reports.
Experience & Knowledge: Experience working with young people, a strong understanding of substance misuse issues, and familiarity with related best practice frameworks.
Safeguarding Expertise: Solid knowledge of child safeguarding concerns and the Gillick Competence framework.
Communication & IT Skills: Accomplished verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of personal IT competency and strong organizational abilities.
Requirements: Cooperative team player dedicated to positive outcomes. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
Annual Leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing up to 30 days over five years of service.
