Head Housekeeper

In this key supervisory position, you will oversee the housekeeping and laundry operations within the care home, ensuring exceptional hygiene and environmental standards. You will manage rotas, control budgets, and lead a housekeeping team to ensure residents enjoy a clean, comfortable, and homely living space.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff, manage team rotas, and oversee department budget allocations.

• Maintain rigorous standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home and ensure resident laundry is processed to high standards.

• Participate in resident and relative meetings to understand individual care home preferences and ensure resident expectations are met.

Requirements

• Proven housekeeping supervisory or team leadership experience, ideally within a care, hospitality, or healthcare environment.

• Strong organizational skills with experience in rota scheduling, basic budget management, and staff supervision.
