About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking experienced Bank Healthcare Assistants on behalf of a specialist healthcare provider in Broadway, Worcestershire.

This flexible bank position is ideal for Healthcare Assistants or Support Workers who want the freedom to choose their working hours while making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people receiving specialist eating disorder treatment.

Following a paid two-week induction, you will have access to available shifts through an easy-to-use mobile app, allowing you to work around your lifestyle while gaining valuable experience in a specialist healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, person-centred care to service users.
Support young people with eating disorders and associated mental health needs.
Assist with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Build positive and therapeutic relationships with service users and colleagues.
Observe, monitor, and report changes in service users' physical and emotional wellbeing.
Maintain accurate records in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Follow safeguarding, infection control, and health and safety procedures at all times.
Contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic care environment.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, or in a similar care role within the UK.
A compassionate, patient, and caring approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
Flexibility to work weekdays, nights, weekends, and bank shifts.
Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

About the Service

The successful candidate will work within a specialist eating disorder service supporting young people aged 13 years and above. The service provides inpatient and day-patient treatment for individuals experiencing eating disorders, including:

Anorexia Nervosa
Bulimia Nervosa
Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)

Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you will help provide a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment focused on recovery, wellbeing, and positive long-term outcomes for service users.
