About the Role
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Unit Manager - Clinical to join the award-winning team at Abbey Court Care Home, operated by Avery Healthcare. In this clinical leadership role, you will work closely with the care home management team to deliver exceptional care with a difference, fostering a safe, caring, innovative, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support a team of nurses, senior carers, and care assistants, providing hands-on instruction and clinical guidance.
Enhance and promote residents' quality of life through comprehensive, effective person-centred care planning.
Manage and participate in rotas to ensure appropriate shift coverage and the continuous availability of senior care and support.
Support the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers with medication management systems, including the ordering, safe distribution, and auditing of prescribed medications.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Registration: Must hold an active NMC PIN and an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in health and social care for care homes, along with current UK professional registration.
Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience working within a care home environment.
Skills & Attributes: Strong verbal and written communication skills. You must consistently live by our core values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability.
