We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to lead shift teams and provide exceptional care to residents. In this leadership role, you will take responsibility for supporting the physical, psychological, and social needs of individuals while fostering a compassionate environment.
As a senior member of the care team, you will act as a role model, ensuring that daily care delivery meets the highest standards of dignity, respect, and kindness. You will play an essential part in managing shift workflows, guiding junior staff, and developing meaningful connections with residents and their families to promote overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead shift teams in delivering personalized care, assisting residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal times.
Maintain clear written records and communicate effectively with management, multidisciplinary teams, and family members regarding resident health and care updates.
Ensure all physical, psychological, and social support delivered by staff aligns with individualized care plans and home regulatory standards.
Requirements
Essential background as a Senior Care Assistant in a care home setting, with proven experience leading shift teams effectively.
Possession of NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (required) and willingness to complete Level 3 upon appointment if not already held.
Right to work in the UK and reside within a realistic commutable distance to Harrogate, UK.
