Position: HGV Vehicle Technician / Night Shift Mechanic
Location: Bolton
Salary/Rate: £60,106.75 per annum + lucrative overtime premiums (1.5x and 2.0x, plus a day in lieu for Bank Holidays)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time, 48 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 19:00 PM – 07:00 AM)

About the Role
We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit an experienced HGV Vehicle Technician for their night shift workshop team in Bolton. This permanent night-shift role offers an exceptional salary package, a clean working environment (all vehicles arrive pre-cleaned, emptied, and washed), a consistent four-night working week, and comprehensive training opportunities including potential HGV licence support and IRTEC accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
Servicing & Maintenance: Carry out routine service, maintenance, and comprehensive repairs on a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles and sophisticated ancillary equipment.
Diagnostics & MOT: Perform advanced fault diagnostics, rectification, and thorough MOT preparation to DVSA standards.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, safe working practices, and company standards at all times.
Working Environment: Focus purely on technical vehicle maintenance without the hassle of cleaning, supported by an experienced, collaborative team.

What We Are Looking For
Experience & Knowledge: Proven hands-on experience and knowledge in repairing and maintaining commercial vehicles. (HGV Class 1 or 2 licence and hydraulics/pneumatics experience are an advantage, with training opportunities available).
Standards: Ability to inspect vehicles to DVSA standards and above. (Inspection training or IRTEC accreditation is an advantage but can be provided).
