Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: The Arkley Care Home, 140 Barnet Road, Arkley, Barnet, EN5 3LJ
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (36 hours per week — 3 x 12-hour shifts)
Salary & Perks: £18.84 – £22.81 per hour (depending on experience) + Paid Breaks + £1,000 Welcome Bonus (paid after completing 4 weeks of service, subject to tax/NI)
Working Pattern: Flexibility required across both Day and Night shifts

Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and self-reliant Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. In this pivotal clinical role, you will take full responsibility for resident wellbeing, managing your unit, overseeing medication management, and mentoring team members to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents, carrying out assessments and individualized care plans.
Manage unit clinical duties, including the ordering and administration of medication, clinical handovers, and supporting CQC compliance.
Coach, guide, and mentor colleagues through formal and informal teaching programmes to foster best practices across the care team.
Exercise strong critical thinking and self-reliance, particularly during night shifts when working autonomously to manage emergencies and ensure patient safety.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
A valid NMC pin with active registration as a Registered Nurse.
Proven clinical experience within a regulated care setting, with a strong understanding of compliance, policy, and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful trust with residents, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
Calm under pressure, self-reliant, and capable of managing care staff effectively across flexible shift patterns.
