About the Role

Supportive Bridge is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our trusted leisure partners for a dedicated Swimming Teacher in Birmingham.

Working within the community leisure sector, you will help deliver safe, fun, and progressive swimming lessons following the proven Swim England learn-to-swim framework. Whether teaching baby and pre-school classes or coaching older children to build vital life skills, your work will directly encourage active, healthy lifestyles across the local community.

Working Hours & Shifts

We want you to feel secure and flexible in your employment. You can contract for as many or as few teaching hours as you prefer. Available shifts for this role include:

Tuesday: 16:00 – 19:00
Wednesday: 16:00 – 19:00
Friday: 16:00 – 18:30
Sunday: 08:00 – 12:00

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, structured, and safe swimming lessons following the Swim England framework.
Foster confidence, safety, and enjoyment in swimmers of all ages and backgrounds.
Maintain a secure, clean, and welcoming environment during all sessions.
Support student progress tracking and contribute to a positive, community-focused leisure culture.

What You’ll Need

Qualifications: Swim England Level 2 or STA Qualification/Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming.
Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Desirable: Valid RLSS UK NPLQ, NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers (free training can be provided if required).
