Salary: £21,175.41 – £26,183.25 per annum (Actual Salary) + Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) & Lift Schools Benefits

Supportive Bridge Staffing is seeking a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our award-winning client, Lift Lea Forest.
In this highly rewarding role, you will provide consistent 1:1 support for an individual pupil with additional educational needs. Working closely alongside the class teacher, SENCO, and wider SEND team, you will adapt learning materials, manage individual learning strategies, and create a structured, supportive environment that empowers the pupil to engage with the curriculum, build independence, and flourish at school.
1:1 Pupil Support: Provide tailored, consistent 1:1 assistance throughout the school day, understanding the pupil's specific communication, learning, and emotional needs.
Curriculum Adaptation: Collaborate with teachers to differentiate classroom tasks and deliver targeted 1:1 or small-group SEND interventions.
Social & Emotional Growth: Promote positive peer interactions, emotional regulation, confidence, and progressive learning independence.
Professional Collaboration: Work closely with the school SENCO, external specialists, and parents, providing feedback on pupil engagement and progress.
Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Ensure the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of the pupil at all times in accordance with school policies.
Experience & Knowledge:
Experience supporting children or young people, ideally within a primary school or SEND environment.
Solid understanding of SEND and how additional needs impact learning, speech/language, or behavioral development.
Core Qualities:
Calm, patient, and empathetic demeanor with the resilience needed for 1:1 support.
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
