We are proud to partner with BAE Systems to source an experienced Senior Scrum Master to champion Agile delivery for their next-generation naval software initiatives.
In this vital leadership role, you will play a key part in the agile delivery of Navy software solutions, ensuring strict alignment with the Product Owner's vision while championing Scrum and DevSecOps best practices. Working closely with software engineers and stakeholders, you will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove obstacles, coach team members, and drive continuous improvement to deliver high-quality, reliable software for complex Royal Navy systems.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Champion the utilization of Agile and DevSecOps approaches for creating new and modified code/test modules as part of wider product solutions.
Lead and facilitate the effective day-to-day operation of the Scrum team.
Drive continuous learning and feedback loops in relation to the DevSecOps development lifecycle.
Undertake direct line management responsibilities and coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile frameworks, fostering self-organization and accountability.
Agile Experience: Significant professional experience operating as a Scrum Master within fast-paced Agile delivery environments.
Facilitation & Communication: Proven ability to facilitate collaborative workshops and drive consensus amongst diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Coaching Background: Demonstrated success coaching teams and leaders in adopting and scaling Agile ways of working (holding a CSM, PSM, or equivalent Agile certification is preferred).
Educational & Professional Background: Academic qualification in a STEM-related subject, alongside the ability or willingness to work toward becoming a Chartered Engineer (CEng) through a recognized professional institution.
Security Note: Due to defense and export control restrictions, all applicants must achieve at least a Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Higher levels of National Security Vetting may apply where required.
