About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant (Relief/Bank) on a flexible relief basis on behalf of Westbury Grange in Newport Pagnell, proudly standing on the historical site of MHA's very first care home with a deep-rooted community feel.
In this key leadership role, you will support the Home Manager and senior team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, while leading, motivating, and developing care colleagues. You will take charge during shifts, deputise when required, administer medication, and help maintain a calm, secure, and respectful environment that promotes resident dignity and independence.
What You Will Need
Experience: Previous professional experience working in a care setting, including shift-leading or deputising experience and medication administration.
Qualifications: A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) is desirable, or a willingness to work towards this.
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, good IT literacy (email/basic office systems), and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Proximity & Attitude: A flexible approach to work, sensitivity to the needs of older people, and ideally living within 15 miles of Newport Pagnell (MK16 8JA) for a manageable commute.
