Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our trusted immigration and regimes partners for a professional Hairdresser.
Based out of Yarl’s Wood Immigration Centre in Bedford, you will provide a dedicated hairdressing and barbering service to residents, helping to promote wellbeing, dignity, and confidence in a secure environment. In this hands-on role, your work has genuine purpose. You will support individuals from diverse backgrounds by delivering services that contribute to daily routine, self-care, and positive mental wellbeing while maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive space.
Service Delivery: Provide professional hairdressing and barbering services in line with the agreed daily schedule.
Appointment Management: Coordinate and manage an effective appointment system to accommodate residents' needs smoothly.
Maintenance & Compliance: Maintain tools, salon equipment, and detailed records in accordance with relevant site policies and standards.
Relationship Building: Build positive, respectful relationships with residents from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.
Safety & Reporting: Promptly report any concerns, including those impacting safety, security, or resident welfare.
Collaborative Teamwork: Partner closely with colleagues to deliver a consistent, high-quality, and respectful service.
Professional Background: Proven experience working in a fast-paced salon, barbershop, or similar environment.
Technical Skills: Strong cutting and styling capabilities across a diverse range of hair types, including Afro-Caribbean, Asian, and Caucasian hair.

Vetting Requirement: Successful completion of an Enhanced DBS check and an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
