About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (Part-Time) on behalf of a specialist healthcare and education provider in Broadway, Worcestershire.

This rewarding opportunity involves supporting young people receiving education within a specialist hospital school. Working alongside teachers and a multidisciplinary team, you will help create a positive learning environment that encourages educational progress, personal development, and emotional wellbeing for students with eating disorders and additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

Support teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging classroom lessons.
Assist students with learning activities while promoting confidence, independence, and participation.
Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
Encourage positive behaviour and support students' emotional, social, and educational development.
Provide individual and small-group learning support where required.
Help implement personalised learning strategies and interventions.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

Education-related qualifications.
Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or educational setting.
Excellent literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
Experience supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and/or Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Ability to identify and implement strategies that encourage student engagement and learning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, resilient, flexible, and adaptable approach.
The ability to build positive relationships with young people while providing professional and appropriate support.
Additional hobbies, interests, or skills that can contribute to a broad and engaging curriculum are desirable.

About the Service

The successful candidate will work within a specialist hospital school supporting young people receiving treatment for eating disorders alongside their education.

The service provides education for students aged 13 years and above, ensuring they continue their academic development while receiving specialist healthcare. Working closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and therapists, you will help students achieve educational success while supporting their overall wellbeing and recovery.

Salary & Benefits

Annual salary of £26,784 (Pro Rata Salary: £21,427).
Part-time position (30 hours per week).
