Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time (Shift Details: 07:30 AM - 19:00 PM, Alternate Weekends)

About the Role
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join the award-winning team at Aldridge Care Home, operated by Avery Healthcare. In this vital role, you will support the catering department with food preparation and maintain a pristine, safe environment for the production of meals and beverages, ensuring a high-quality, comprehensive service is delivered to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Apply the principles of safe food handling to ensure all food preparation is conducted to the highest standards of hygiene.
Contribute fully to teamwork, responding positively to colleagues and following work instructions promptly.
Assist with monitoring supply levels and quality, advising on the timely ordering of replacement goods.
Interact respectfully with residents and visitors, always honoring the dignity and individuality of each resident.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Certifications: Must hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
Knowledge & Skills: Understanding of Health and Safety practices, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
Attributes: An efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort to manage a demanding workload, combined with initiative, a positive team attitude, and a caring, understanding approach toward residents.
