Salary: £28,557.79 - £32,802.41 Per Annum
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated permanent Recovery Coordinator to join their community substance misuse service in Birmingham.
In this rewarding role, you will work directly with individuals on their recovery journeys, providing comprehensive assessments, tailored care planning, harm reduction advice, and ongoing 1-to-1 or group support. Acting as a friendly and trusted first point of contact, you will help service users build resilience, overcome challenges, and achieve their personal wellbeing goals.
Client Engagement & Assessment: Welcome service users into the service, conduct thorough initial screenings and assessments, and collaboratively design structured recovery plans.
Recovery Coordination & Delivery: Provide ongoing 1-to-1 keyworking sessions and facilitate engaging group interventions that empower service users to make positive changes.
Harm Reduction & Wellbeing: Deliver essential harm reduction advice, relapse prevention strategies, and onward referrals to clinical and partner agencies.
Advocacy & Partnership Working: Work closely with multi-agency partners, families, and community support networks to advocate for service users and promote long-term social reintegration.
Experience & Background: Experience working within substance misuse, health and social care, mental health, or a related support field.
Knowledge & Understanding: A strong understanding of drug and alcohol issues, harm reduction principles, and the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals.
Core Competencies: Excellent communication and active listening skills, strong organisational capabilities, and a proactive, person-centred approach.
Requirements: Supportive team player. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
Annual Leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 extra day for each year of service during the first five years (up to 30 days).
