About this role
Voyage Care is looking for a Senior Support Worker to help lead its residential service in Oldbury. You will support people to become more independent in their daily lives while helping the Manager with the day-to-day running and supervision of the service.
What you would do:
- Provide hands-on, day-to-day support to the people who live at the service
- Allocate shifts, book training and induct new colleagues
- Help with staff supervisions and order medication
- Support people to manage their own finances
What they ask for:
- Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Experience supporting people with enhanced needs, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions and experience of trauma
- A full UK driving licence
- Satisfactory DBS checks and references
The role is permanent and full time at 37.5 hours per week, paying £13.72 per hour. Voyage Care lists an extra 50p per hour for evenings and weekends and an extra £1 per hour for overtime (terms apply), Stream access to up to 40% of earned pay, a funded Blue Light Card, a 24/7 doctor line for colleagues and families, cash plans, enhanced retirement leave and long service awards. Training starts at induction and there are opportunities for promotion.
