About the Role

As a Residential Senior Night Carer at Bere Grove, you will take on a vital leadership role during night shifts, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of person-centred care and support.

You will be responsible for leading, supervising, and training a dedicated team of care staff on shift, delegating duties effectively. Your role will also involve managing medication administration and ordering, updating resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaising professionally with GPs, district nursing teams, and families—all while maintaining a warm, welcoming, and secure environment overnight.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the night care team, conducting training and shift handovers.

• Administer and order medication safely in compliance with guidelines.

• Review, update, and manage resident care plans and risk assessments.

• Liaise closely with GPs, district nurses, and resident family members.

• Champion resident dignity and choice while creating a calm, safe, and comforting night-time atmosphere.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.

• Experience: Previous experience working within a residential care setting.

• Leadership Skills: Proven team leadership abilities and sound decision-making skills to support resident wellbeing.
