Support Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with vital public service providers to deliver top-tier talent. We are currently recruiting an experienced Electrician Grade 1 to join the Justice and Immigration Facilities Management team at HMP Fosse Way.
In this critical role, you will maintain safe, compliant, and fully operational electrical systems within a secure environment. Your work will directly support the smooth running of essential infrastructure, creating a secure, reliable environment where colleagues and service users can depend on critical services every day.
Fault Finding & Repair: Carry out expert fault finding, defect rectification, and servicing on electrical plant and equipment.
Preventative Maintenance: Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) routines to ensure all electrical systems remain fully compliant and operational.
Installations & Commissioning: Install and commission new electrical plant and apparatus safely and efficiently.
Technical Interpretation: Read, interpret, and work accurately from technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Investigations & Records: Support investigations into equipment performance, provide professional recommendations, and maintain precise records of inspections, tools, and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications: A recognised electrical qualification (such as City & Guilds) backed by a completed recognised electrical apprenticeship.
Regulations: Fully qualified to BS7671 (current IEE wiring regulations).
Experience: At least five years of relevant post-apprenticeship electrical experience.
Skills & Attributes: Strong problem-solving capabilities, independence, resilience, and the ability to thrive and work safely within a secure environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to participate in the facilities "out of hours" call-out roster.
