About the Role

We are partnering with Oak Lodge Care Home in Southampton to find a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant. At Oak Lodge, the team is dedicated to delivering person-centred care that supports independence, honours choice, and ensures every resident lives a life they truly love.

As a Care Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will be at the heart of making this happen—providing everything from warm companionship to essential personal care, supporting nutrition and hydration, and keeping residents mentally and physically stimulated through engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements, from companionship to personal care.

• Observe and manage resident behaviour with care, documenting and reporting any changes in accordance with required legislation.

• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.

• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through group and individual social and recreational activities.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.

• Motivation, positivity, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a relevant Health and Social Care qualification.
