The Role
Are you warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated to maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment? South Lodge Care Home is seeking a committed Housekeeping Assistant to work as part of a close-knit team, ensuring top-tier standards of cleanliness and laundry are consistently met across the home.
In this role, you will uphold hotel service standards according to established procedures, ensuring a pristine and safe environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
Understanding the cleaning requirements of various surfaces and coverings, as well as the properties of cleaning materials, to keep all areas well-presented and maintained in top condition.
Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect, keeping their personal space and belongings carefully respected at all times.

Requirements:
Knowledge of Health and Safety standards, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
Previous experience in cleaning and laundry within a public or professional setting.
A strong compassion and commitment to delivering a high-quality housekeeping and laundry service to residents.
The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Requirements for Employment: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS Disclosure check (the cost of which is fully covered by Avery Healthcare).
