Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with BAE Systems—a global leader in defence, aerospace, and security—to source an experienced and analytical Senior Engineer – Test Integration for a permanent career opportunity in Barrow-in-Furness.

As part of the vital Test & Integration Team supporting the Dreadnought submarine build program, you will play a critical role in reviewing documentation, writing test procedures, and delivering measures for platform management systems. This permanent position offers an extraordinary platform to tackle complex engineering and testing projects while growing your career within a rapidly expanding team.

Role Overview

Working on-site in Barrow-in-Furness, you will translate technical information from suppliers and design authorities into robust test procedures. You will interpret customer needs for integration activities, undertake integration testing, investigate complex technical faults, and compile comprehensive reports in verbal, informal, and formal written mediums.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Test Procedure Development: Write and review test procedures using technical information sourced from suppliers and design authorities.

• Integration Testing: Execute integration testing in line with approved procedures across in-house, supplier, and customer sites.

• Fault Investigation: Investigate complex technical faults and queries on systems slated for integration, leveraging a deep understanding of underlying technical designs.

• Technical Reporting: Compile and communicate test, fault, and investigation evidence and reports across various mediums.

• Knowledge Sharing: Document domain knowledge and pass on expertise to help grow the knowledge base within appropriate business teams.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Background: Hold an HNC, HND, or Degree in an Electrical or Software related subject (or possess equivalent demonstrable experience).

• Technical Knowledge: Proven knowledge and understanding of Electrical Testing and/or Software Testing, alongside the ability to provide technical instruction for emergent incidents.

• Documentation Skills: Strong technical documentation writing skills using Microsoft Office applications.

• Working Arrangement: Full on-site presence in Barrow-in-Furness.

• Security Clearance: All applicants must achieve, as a minimum, the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Note: Due to security and export control restrictions, candidates must meet national identity, birthplace, and residency criteria (typically requiring continuous UK residency of 5 to 10 years for higher-level national security vetting).
