About the Role
We are recruiting a Bank Chef to provide casual, flexible cover at The Spires in Lichfield.
In this role, you will deliver hotel/restaurant standards of catering without the unsociable split shifts and long weeks of traditional hospitality. Working alongside the Head Chef, you will prepare nutritious, flavoursome, and seasonal meals tailored to resident preferences while maintaining total flexibility over your working schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing kitchen operations and lead the team in the Head Chef’s absence.
Prepare wholesome, high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal produce.
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene protocols, including HACCP and regular audits.
Support stock control, inventory management, and food budget guidelines.
Help foster a warm, welcoming, and efficient kitchen environment.
About You
To join us as a Bank Chef, you will bring:
City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ (or equivalent) culinary qualification.
Solid experience working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and a strong understanding of nutrition.
Practical knowledge of HACCP guidelines and kitchen safety standards.
Experience in guiding, inspiring, and motivating a kitchen team.
A warm, personable approach with a passion for person-centred hospitality.
