Join our esteemed defence and maritime client and play a critical role in shaping advanced naval solutions! As a staffing partner, Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to recruit for this vital Lead Quality Engineer position on behalf of BAE Systems.

In this role within the T26 Combat & Complex Systems Quality Assurance team, you will lead quality assurance activities at the ship integration level and across the supply chain. You will ensure suppliers and operations teams deliver work right the first time, facilitating complex problem-solving, driving continuous improvement, and approving key deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Problem Solving & Leadership: Lead complex problem-solving activities and guide cross-functional project teams in applying processes, standards, and best practices.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives across business processes and products.

• Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement: Build solid, collaborative relationships with suppliers and stakeholders up to executive level, influencing and guiding delivery.

• Compliance & Verification: Witness key project events, review outcomes, and approve internal and supplier deliverables to ensure strict quality and compliance standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Quality Management Background: Strong experience and knowledge of quality management systems, the process approach, and regulated standards such as ISO 9001 and AQAP.

• Communication Skills: Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, adapt messages, and foster collaboration.

• Proactive & Self-Motivated: A results-driven approach with the capability to work independently and drive continuous improvement in demanding environments.

• Technical Familiarity: Experience or knowledge of design requirements management, verification & validation, and product lifecycle management within defence, manufacturing, engineering, or quality domains.
