We are recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant on a permanent part-time day basis (30 hours per week) on behalf of Lauriston in St Leonards-on-Sea, a friendly and inclusive care home set in a scenic coastal location.
In this valued role, you will support the Cook in delivering nutritious, well-presented meals that meet residents' dietary needs while helping to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with food safety standards and MHA's core values.
Essential Certification: A basic food hygiene certificate.
Experience: Previous experience in basic food preparation is desirable, but a strong work ethic and positive attitude matter most.
Teamwork & Organisation: The ability to follow instructions, prioritise tasks effectively, and work well within a collaborative team.
Flexibility & Proximity: A positive, flexible approach to work and sensitivity to the needs of older people. Ideally living within 15 miles of St Leonards-on-Sea (TN38 0SY) for a manageable commute.
