Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this 1-year school-based apprenticeship route enables you to earn £24,444 while working toward a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and a Level 6 Teacher Apprenticeship qualification.
You will spend the vast majority of your time gaining hands-on classroom experience, putting pedagogical theory into practice, and building your teaching confidence inside a vibrant, supportive secondary school community.
100% Funded – No Tuition Fees: Earn £24,444 while you train, with full coverage of your course tuition fees via the Teacher Apprenticeship route.
Triple Qualifications: Graduate in 1 year with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and a Level 6 Apprenticeship qualification.
Practical Classroom Experience: Gain real-world teaching experience as an apprentice Maths teacher, backed by dedicated 1-on-1 mentoring as you gradually take on independent teaching responsibility.
Personalised Coaching & Mentorship: Guided by a dedicated in-school coach and personal subject tutor who provide weekly feedback, ongoing advice, and tailored career support.
Weekly Collaborative Training: Spend half a day every week attending targeted training modules alongside fellow trainees across the Ark Teacher Training and Lift Schools networks.

To be eligible for this Maths Teacher Apprenticeship position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Degree: An undergraduate degree (2:2 classification or above) completed by the start of the programme. A degree in Mathematics, STEM, or a related field is preferred (or a strong A-Level in Maths at Grade C or above).
GCSEs: Grade 4 (C) or higher in GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent).
Teaching Status: Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Work Rights: Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
