Assistant Chef / Second Chef

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of Bupa for an Assistant Chef / Second Chef to join their team in Woodford Green, UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef to prepare fresh, nutritious meals that enhance the wellbeing of care home residents. Working alongside the Chef Manager, you will help deliver high-quality dining experiences while maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards in a welcoming care home environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals while catering for individual dietary requirements and preferences.

• Support the daily operation of the kitchen, including stock control and maintaining food safety standards.

• Assist the Chef Manager in delivering excellent dining experiences and supporting kitchen team members.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen environment.

• Knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and food safety procedures with relevant food hygiene certification.

• Strong organisational skills with a positive, team-focused approach.
