About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team, ensuring food preparation, catering, and cleaning standards comply strictly with Health and Safety and Food Standards regulations. You will act as a key link between the main kitchen and our residents, helping to deliver a wonderful dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist chefs with food preparation, plating meals, and preparing food trolleys.
Monitor and maintain kitchen cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas, crockery, and utensils are immaculately clean.
Keep all food preparation and working areas tidy, safe, and organized.
Work flexibly to support the catering needs of the home.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an organised, confident communicator with a genuine interest in working within a care home environment.
Experience & Skills: Experience with food preparation and catering is valued. Previous experience in a care home environment is desirable but not essential—what matters most is your commitment and positive attitude.
Personal Attributes: Able to manage pressure, prioritise tasks effectively, and communicate clearly at all levels.
Requirements: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of the care home.
