At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting dedicated Bank Care Assistants on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the team at St Thomas Care Home in Basingstoke.
In this rewarding, flexible role, you will assist residents with their daily routines, ensuring they receive dignified personal care, support with meals and drinks, and warm companionship. Every shift brings variety and purpose—whether you are following individualized care plans, aiding with daily living tasks, or spending quality one-on-one time sharing stories and creating positive moments with residents.
Key Responsibilities
Person-Centered Care: Support residents with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily living needs according to individual care plans.
Nutrition & Hydration: Assist residents with food and drink requirements during meal times and throughout the shift.
Warm Companionship: Build friendly, respectful relationships with residents, ensuring everyone receives personal attention and emotional reassurance.
Flexible Coverage: Step in across day or night shifts to provide essential cover for staff sickness, annual leave, or peak care demands.
About You
Experience: Prior experience caring for older individuals (in a professional setting or personal capacity).
Key Strengths: Excellent communication skills, strong empathy, and a proactive "can-do" mindset.
