We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd—the UK’s leading provider of community equipment services to the NHS and local authorities—as they look for an energetic Warehouse Team Leader to join their team at the Rotherham Depot.
About the Role
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will support the effective day-to-day running of the warehouse operation, leading a team of Warehouse and Cleaning Operatives by example. You will ensure that equipment, stock, and depot processes are managed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This role combines hands-on warehouse management, rigorous compliance tracking, stock control, and occasional client-facing community equipment deliveries, ensuring the depot continues to provide a responsive and safe service.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strong leadership, guidance, and daily support to Warehouse and Cleaning Operatives.
Lead on depot compliance requirements, ensuring records are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
Manage stock control processes, barcode new stock, scan returned equipment, and update online catalogues.
Oversee safe vehicle unloading, stock movement, and picking items for deliveries using scanning systems.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and depot best practices.
Undertake occasional visits to client homes to assist with equipment delivery and collection with an empathetic, professional manner.
About You
You are a reliable, hands-on leader who is comfortable with extensive manual handling and dedicated to maintaining high operational standards.
Experience: Ideally, some previous experience in a similar team leader or supervisory role.
Personal Qualities: Flexible with working days/hours to suit business needs, safety-conscious, and a collaborative team player.
