About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their recent combination with Bakkavor) to recruit dedicated technical professionals. Greencore is a leading creator of convenience food, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their Heathrow facility, a team of around 400 colleagues produces gluten-free sandwiches, ready-to-eat/reheat items, wraps, salads, and ready meals for major UK retailers like Asda, Aldi, Co-op, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, and Waitrose. We are currently seeking a meticulous Quality Auditor to ensure our stringent food safety and quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
CCP & QMS Monitoring: Audit Critical Control Points (CCPs), pre-requisite systems, and control procedures to ensure full compliance with the site Quality Management System (QMS).
Hygiene & Swabbing: Monitor personnel, environmental, and equipment hygiene standards; carry out investigative swabs and troubleshoot out-of-specification results.
Internal Auditing & Compliance: Conduct routine internal audits of products, processes, and start-up checks, driving continuous improvement in line with industry best practices.
Investigations & Corrective Actions: Carry out trend analyses, investigate non-conformances or customer complaints, and implement effective corrective actions.
Training & Coaching: Educate and coach factory personnel at all levels regarding food safety, quality systems, and proper hygiene practices.
What We Are Looking For
Full training will be provided, but the ideal candidate will bring the following background and qualifications:
Experience: Ideally some background working within a food manufacturing environment or similar quality-focused setting.
Core Knowledge: Familiarity with Health & Safety practices, Food Hygiene, CCP/HACCP principles, Allergen Awareness, and Microbiological Awareness.
Skills: GCSEs (or equivalent) in Literacy and Numeracy, with high accuracy, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, chilled environment.
