Salary: £38,114.53 - £44,469.24 Per Annum (CGL points 33 to 39 - competitive with NHS Agenda for Change pay bands)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit an energetic, passionate, and clinically robust permanent-track Substance Misuse Nurse for a 12-month fixed-term contract across Cambridgeshire.
As an integral member of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist clinical interventions, physical and mental health assessments, and harm-reduction strategies for individuals affected by drugs and alcohol. Operating under a whole-person approach, you will deliver blood-borne virus (BBV) screening, Hepatitis B vaccinations, Naloxone training, and evidence-based clinical care to promote lasting recovery.
Clinical Assessments & Care: Undertake physical and mental health assessments, ensuring appropriate signposting or referrals to primary and secondary healthcare services.
Harm Reduction & BBV Interventions: Provide health promotion, BBV screening, Hepatitis B vaccinations, safe injecting advice/equipment disposal, and contribute to CGL’s Naloxone Strategy.
Best Practice & Governance: Ensure all clinical procedures align with UK Guidelines on Clinical Management, NICE guidance, and CGL clinical protocols while maintaining accurate client data.
Professional Standards: Wear the designated company uniform while on duty to ensure a consistent, hygienic, and professional standard of care.
Nursing Qualifications & Registration: First level registered nurse with a current active NMC PIN.
Clinical Skills: Demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction interventions, health promotion, risk assessment, and person-centered clinical care.
Approach: Professional, empathetic, flexible, and non-judgmental practitioner with strong communication skills.
Requirements: Access to transport/ability to travel efficiently across Cambridgeshire. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
