Position: Senior Theatre Practitioner Scrub - Cardiac Thoracic
Location: Bupa Cromwell Hospital, London, SW5 0TU (Conveniently located 5 minutes from Earls Court underground or 7 minutes from Gloucester Road underground)
Salary: £46,195 to £54,700 per annum + fantastic benefits
Golden Hello / Relocation: £3,000 one-off Golden Hello OR up to £5,000 towards domestic relocation costs (if applicable)
Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday with shift enhancements for weekend working; various shift patterns available)

Working within our busy and dynamic adult theatre environment, you will set the benchmark for clinical excellence across complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries. You will provide skilled clinical and technical assistance, participate in patient assessments, support junior staff development, and ensure a safe, effective perioperative journey for patients from all over the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a key member of the operating theatre team, supporting both anaesthetics and surgery.
Assist with patient positioning, preparation, correct specimen labeling, and immediate post-operative or initial emergency care.
Strictly control cross-infection by observing departmental policies on dress, clean working environments, decontamination, sterilization, and asepsis.
Check all equipment prior to use, reporting any faults promptly to the Theatre Co-ordinator.
Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner, ensuring the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
Support team leaders with induction programs and the Personal Development Plans (PDPs) of junior staff.
1st Level Adult and/or Children's Registration (RN) with current NMC registration, OR HCPC registered.
Minimum of 5 years of dedicated Scrub Cardiac Thoracic experience.
Holding a Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies, ODP Level 3 NVQ, or ODA 752 qualification.
