Position: Staff Nurse - Ward

Location: New Victoria Hospital, Kingston upon Thames (KT2 7EG)

Salary: From £39,078 per annum + Fantastic Benefits

Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, covering Monday-Sunday shifts, bank holidays, and nights on a 4-week rota including 11.5hr shifts and 13 night shifts)

The Role

As a Staff Nurse on our ward, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate inpatient care. Working closely with consultants, nursing colleagues, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will manage individualised care programmes and ensure patients receive outstanding support throughout their hospital stay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care aligned with professional standards and hospital policies.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans for patients, monitoring progress and responding to changes appropriately.

• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with clinical protocols.

• Support patients and their families seamlessly throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.

• Maintain accurate patient records, ensure effective clinical handovers, and promote clinical governance, infection prevention, and risk management standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration (newly qualified nurses are warmly encouraged to apply).

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with strong clinical judgement and attention to detail.

• A flexible, adaptable, and collaborative team player committed to continuous professional and personal development.

• Desirable: Previous surgical experience, mentoring experience, and teaching skills.
