We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Facility Manager to join the team at Barton Leisure Centre. In this leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy leisure facility, ensuring services are safe, welcoming, and high-performing while helping drive growth, innovation, and exceptional customer experiences.
What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership: Lead the safe, effective, and efficient daily operation of the facility, ensuring high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Business Growth: Support the General Manager in delivering operational plans, strategic business objectives, and sustainable growth.
Team Development: Manage, coach, and develop Duty Managers and departmental leaders, creating a supportive environment for staff to thrive.
Customer Experience: Drive excellence in customer service and build trust with customers, stakeholders, and the local community.
Performance Management: Use performance data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
Facility Readiness: Take responsibility for facility readiness, keyholder duties, and emergency response support when required.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Proven operational leadership experience within facilities management, leisure operations, or a similar environment.
Leadership Skills: A demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams while cultivating an engaged workplace culture.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across colleagues, customers, and external stakeholders.
Data-Driven Thinking: Confident using operational and performance data to make informed decisions and solve problems.
Essential Requirements: Must hold a full UK Driving Licence and be a confident swimmer. (An NPLQ qualification is desirable, or training can be provided).
