Shift Pattern: Thursday to Monday, 20:00 - 04:30 (Night Shift)
About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their recent combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated operations talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading creators of convenience food, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their flagship Northampton facility—operating across an impressive 5-unit campus with around 2,000 colleagues—they serve as the sole supplier of sandwiches, wraps, rolls, and sushi for Marks & Spencer. We are currently looking for a reliable Machine Minder to join their fast-paced production team on the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
Machinery Oversight: Perform daily machine start-ups, provide continuous operational oversight, and promptly report any mechanical faults.
Quality & Compliance: Conduct regular compliance checks, including date and code verification, correct label usage, and essential quality audits.
Safety & Standards: Strictly adhere to risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), and Health & Safety controls to maintain a safe working environment.
Team Collaboration: Work closely within a close-knit production team to quickly address and resolve any food safety or quality issues.
What We Are Looking For
Full on-the-job training is provided. The ideal candidate will possess:
Communication Skills: Good standard of written and spoken English, alongside solid numeracy skills.
Work Ethic: High attention to detail, accuracy, the ability to thrive under pressure, and a strong commitment to safe working practices.
Experience: Previous background working in an FMCG, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is advantageous, though not essential.
