About the Role
As a Maintenance Person, you will be a key part of the care home team, working collaboratively to ensure the absolute safety, security, and smooth running of the building, environment, and equipment for all residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine Health and Safety checks across the building, grounds, and equipment.
Enter residents' rooms with sensitivity and maintain a comfortable, reassuring presence around people living with dementia.
Manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and handle maintenance challenges calmly and professionally.
Support the home in maintaining a safe, lively, and well-kept environment.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a practical, self-motivated individual with a genuine interest in working within a care environment.
Qualifications & Skills: Ideally hold a relevant trade qualification (or be willing to work towards one) and possess a clean driving licence. An understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 is an advantage.
Personal Attributes: Empathetic towards older people, capable of taking the lead when needed, and a strong team player who can also work well independently.
Requirements: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of the care home.
