Shift Pattern: Full-time (45 hours/week), Daytime shifts on a 5-out-of-7 pattern (Mon-Fri & Sun-Thu)

About the Role
As a QA Assistant representing Bridge Staffing Agency at Oliver Kay (part of the Bidfood family), you will play a crucial part in supplying fresh ingredients to chefs and professional kitchens daily. Working within a fast-paced, refrigerated warehouse, you will ensure incoming goods meet our high standards before they reach the customer.
Active & Hands-on: This role involves manual handling and spending a large part of your day in a chilled environment.
Quality Champion: You will be on the front lines of checking fresh produce for size, weight, and quality.
Supportive Team: Work alongside a dedicated QA team within a secure, long-established business that values your contribution.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and quality-check incoming fresh produce prior to receipt and acceptance.
Ensure the safe, efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of ambient, chilled, and specialty products.
Actively maintain food safety compliance and highlight any issues to the QA management team.
Support the flow of business operations to provide service excellence to all customers.
What You Need to Apply
Thorough attention to detail with strong time management and prioritisation skills.
Clear, precise, and confident communication abilities.
Comfort working in a refrigerated environment where manual handling is required.
Preferred: 1 year of experience working with fresh produce and a food safety qualification.
