Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with BAE Systems to find a driven and analytical undergraduate for a 12-month Undergraduate Electronic Systems Procurement Placement based in Rochester.

Working within Category Management and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), you will help deliver value for money through strategic supplier management, contract negotiations, and procurement coordination. You will act as a vital bridge between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, supporting cutting-edge defense and aerospace technologies—including the iconic Striker II Helmet and advanced flight control computers.
Purchase Order Management: Receive requisitions and process Purchase Orders efficiently in accordance with established procurement procedures.
Cost Optimization: Identify cost reduction and avoidance opportunities through effective supplier negotiations and budget tracking.
ERP & Order Book Integrity: Maintain accurate supplier order books and ensure current data is meticulously updated within the ERP system.
Supply Chain Resolution: Handle supplier returns, ensuring proper root-cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), address performance issues at a senior level, and maintain strong, collaborative communication interfaces.
Reporting: Produce key reports and professional presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
Academic Requirement: On track to achieve a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in a Supply Chain, Business, or Finance-related discipline.
Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities, paired with keen analytical skills and attention to detail.
Security Clearance: Due to the nature of defense and security solutions, all applicants must, as a minimum, achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and meet relevant export control and UK residency requirements.
