About the Role
We are recruiting a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker / Gardener on a permanent part-time basis (16 hours per week over 2 days) on behalf of Langholme in Falmouth, a welcoming and values-led care home.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will be responsible for the general upkeep of the service, including buildings, equipment, grounds, and gardens (with indoor maintenance prioritized during inclement winter weather). You will ensure a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment where residents, visitors, and colleagues feel welcome and supported.
What You Will Need
Essential Experience: Previous relevant maintenance experience and practical skills in general maintenance and/or gardening.
Trade Qualifications: A recognised trade qualification (e.g., City & Guilds in plumbing, joinery, electrical, or decorating) is desirable.
Organisation & Independence: The ability to work independently, manage maintenance schedules, and coordinate effectively with management and contractors.
Proximity & Attitude: A flexible approach to work, sensitivity to the needs of older people, and ideally living within 15 miles of Falmouth (TR11 3LD) for a manageable commute.
