About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Associate to join the multidisciplinary team across our GP practices in the Brent localities of Kingsbury, Willesden, and Wembley (K&W Healthcare Ltd). Bridging the gap between Healthcare Support Workers and Registered Nurses, you will deliver holistic, person-centred care to patients, support clinical pathways, and enhance overall patient access and care capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate care under the supervision of registered nurses, in line with the NMC Code and Standards of Proficiency.
Support patients throughout their primary care journey, assisting with diagnostics, minor procedures, and follow-up care.
Monitor, record, and escalate clinical observations and vital signs in accordance with clinical policies.
Perform clinical tasks within your scope of practice, including venepuncture, ECGs, wound care, smear tests, and adult/child immunisations.
Assist with long-term condition reviews (such as asthma, COPD, and diabetes support, dependent on competency).
Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation using systems such as EMIS, Docman, and SystemOne.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and infection control compliance.
Candidate Requirements
Registration: Must hold current UK professional registration with the NMC as a Nursing Associate.
Essential Experience: Proven capability in performing smear tests and administering adult and child vaccinations.
Desirable Experience: Previous practical experience working within a General Practice setting.
