Bank Healthcare Assistant Outpatients/Pre Assessment

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Bank Healthcare Assistant Outpatients/Pre Assessment to join a leading healthcare facility in Plymouth, UK. In this role, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, supporting a broad range of medical specialties and delivering high-quality patient care.

Working on a flexible bank contract, you will assist with the daily operations of busy outpatient clinics and pre-assessment services. This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical skills while providing individualized support to patients undergoing planned surgical procedures and treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist consultants and registered nurses with clinical procedures, including dressings and wound care across various medical specialties.

• Perform face-to-face and telephone pre-assessment tasks to help prepare patients for scheduled surgery.

• Maintain smooth day-to-day clinic operations and ensure a safe, supportive environment for all patients.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in an acute hospital, care home, or clinical outpatient setting.

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is highly desirable.

• Strong IT literacy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
