Position: Lead Reliability Engineer
Location: Hereford
Salary: £41,000 – £44,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (Flexibility required to support 24/7 operations)
We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit an experienced and driven Lead Reliability Engineer for their advanced, high-tech manufacturing site in Hereford. Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Reliability Team, identifying training needs to coach, mentor, and develop engineers to their full potential.
Strategy & Asset Care: Develop and sustain proactive maintenance strategies (predictive and condition-based) to improve Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reduce unplanned downtime, and optimize asset lifecycle management.
Data Analysis & Problem Solving: Analyse performance and downtime data to identify root causes of equipment failure and drive data-backed engineering improvements.
Project & Contractor Management: Lead or support capital and improvement projects, manage contractor/OEM support, and ensure full compliance with safety, technical, and legislative standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate planned maintenance with operations and planning teams, lead cross-functional reliability reviews, and oversee asset care documentation (PM reviews, calibration schedules, PUWER).
Attractive Salary: £41,000 – £44,000 per annum.

Qualifications: HND or above in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
Experience: Proven experience in reliability, maintenance, or engineering leadership within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of CMMS systems, asset management, and performance metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR). (Knowledge of reliability tools like RCM, FMEA, TPM, or NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications is a strong plus).
Skills: Demonstrable leadership, coaching, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
