At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a permanent Night Care Assistant on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the team at Worplesdon View Care Home in Guildford.
In this vital nocturnal role, you will ensure our residents enjoy peaceful, comfortable nights while receiving the highest quality person-centered support. From assisting with evening routines and overnight checks to delivering personal care and providing a soothing presence, your dedication will help maintain a safe, tranquil home environment throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
Overnight Care & Comfort: Assist residents with bedtime routines, night-time mobility, personal care, and comforting support whenever needed.
Regular Monitoring: Conduct routine checks across the home to ensure resident safety, security, and well-being during the night.
Care Plan Compliance: Follow individual care plans accurately, keeping clear, up-to-date night records and handovers for the day team.
Reassuring Presence: Offer quiet companionship and immediate assistance to residents who wake up or experience distress during night hours.
About You
Experience: Prior experience in caring for older individuals within a care home or formal support setting.
Qualities: Patient, warm-hearted, empathetic, and comfortable working consistent night shifts.
Key Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive "can-do" approach.
Development Ready: Comprehensive initial training and ongoing skill development programs will be provided.
