About the Role
Jump-start your software engineering career with a hands-on 12-month industrial placement working on advanced technology-led platforms. You will work primarily with core languages such as Java, JavaScript, Angular, and React (alongside exposure to C# and .NET), while gaining exposure to a vast ecosystem of modern development tools, cloud platforms, and DevOps environments.
Core Duties & Technologies:
Contribute to software development across a diverse tech stack and toolset, which may include:
Cloud & Virtualization: AWS, Azure, Linux, Docker, VMware
DevOps & Orchestration: Ansible, Foreman, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Bamboo
Data & Streaming: HDFS, Kafka, Avro
Languages & Frameworks: C/C++, Java, JavaScript, Qt, React, Redux, JEE, C#, .NET
Networking & Security: Secure networking protocols and architectures
Collaboration & Tracking: Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Jama
What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications):
Academic Background: Must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a minimum of a 2:2 in your Bachelor’s degree in Computing, Computer Science, IT/Networks-related subjects, Mathematics, or Physics.
Technical Passion: A strong foundation in programming concepts, an eagerness to learn modern engineering workflows, and a collaborative mindset.
Security Note: Due to defense and security regulations, all applicants must achieve at least a Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Higher levels of National Security Vetting may apply where required.
