Are you an experienced, dynamic chef looking for a rewarding, flexible regional role? Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Regional Bank Chef to support daily culinary operations across multiple care homes. In this role, you will guide and mentor kitchen teams to provide nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals that enhance residents' well-being while managing budgets effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing nutritionally balanced, varied, and appetising menu plans for Home Manager approval, taking special dietary needs into account.
Placing food orders with approved suppliers, managing proper stock levels, and ensuring quality provisions remain within agreed budget limits.
Supervising and directing kitchen and host team members, demonstrating simple food preparation techniques to unqualified staff.
Implementing the Avery Food Safety Management system and maintaining the highest hygiene standards.

Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, including successfully managing a busy kitchen.
Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety, food safety legislation, COSHH, and maintaining 5-star hygiene standards.
NVQ Level 3 in Food Production (or equivalent), City & Guilds 706-1/706-2 catering qualifications, or training in IDDSI / textured modified diets.
Strong team-working abilities coupled with proven leadership qualities.
Requirements for Employment: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS Disclosure check (fully covered by Avery Healthcare).
